Idaho is a very interesting state.Thousands of years before us,Native Americans like Nez Perce, Ceor d'Alene,Kootena,Shoshoe,Bannok,and Blackfeet lived on this land.The first non-American(s) on the land were Lewis and Clark on their expedition. The British and the US signed the Oregon Treaty leaded to Idaho made US land. After the treaty Idaho was made Washington territory. A little bit after, Idaho became it's own territory when the Gold Rush happened. Seventeen years laterite became the 43rd state! A fun fact is that Idaho's nickname is The Gem State. Its called that because many gems and metals are mined out of Idaho. Another fun fact is it became a state in July 3,1890. Now do you know why I called it interesting?
